I was fortunate enough to have a collage piece selected for the 'Here's my work, I hope you like it' section of the magazine. Creative use of the 'edge'

Here are some images I've shot recently with a focus on framing and creative use of the 'edge'.
Using repetition in your composition can have a great impact on your viewers. The human eye is comfortable seeing repetitive objects and finds patterns pleasant. Creating your pictures around repeating elements or patterns provides picture unity and structure. Pattern repetition creates rhythm that the eyes enjoy following. When lines, shapes, and colours within a picture occur in an orderly way (like a wallpaper), they create patterns that often enhance the beauty of photographs.

Jean-François Thériault photography

I recently stumbled across a photographer by the name of Jean-François Thériault. I find his Images of wasted Las Vegas landscapes particularly inspiring. I love the gritty colours used and the vintage type he's captured in the signage.

Here is an image that I took on my iPhone that gives the illusion of a miniature model of buildings. The image was edited in an application for iphone called Tilt Shift and was shot on the roof overlooking James Place. A very pleasing result.
